Is natural yoghurt good for you or not?

I've been told that natural Greek yoghurt is supposed to be really good for you, but I looked at the nutritional information and saw it’s got around 10grams of fat per serve, and over half of that is saturated! Should I not eat it because of its high fat content?

If you are trying to lose weight then the lowest Calorie yoghurt are those that are low fat and low sugar. You can purchase low fat Greek yoghurt. The special properties associated with natural yoghurts mostly come from the “Live” bacteria in the yoghurt culture. Historically you would have had to buy Greek style yoghurt to get these but today many types of yoghurt contain these and they are also referred to as “probiotic” yoghurts. Some of these healthy bacteria manage to make their way all the way along the digestive tract to your large bowel, the colon, where they are able to multiple and help to keep you colon healthy. This is especially useful after you have been on a course of antibiotics as this medication, while targeting infections in your body, also does kill these good bacteria that usually live in your colon.
